First of all, there's no reason to use the word "retarded" in a derogatory manner.
Second, there are various reasons why some girls may cry a lot:
1. They're very emotional/sensitive
2. It's possible there might be more going on in their lives that others may not know about and even the smallest thing could set them off.
3. It's for attention...and a control tactic (sadly I knew many girls like this back in grade school and high school, particularly at dances where they knew one tear shed meant a swarm of people surrounding her and "consoling" her).
It's hard to know for sure without actually knowing the person. My advice would be to get to know the person...if there's something deeper going on, be a friend. If it's for attention, don't play the game and eventually she'll get bored with it.

Girls don't cry for everything!! You might have did something 2 make them cry or they were having a bad day?! Who know?! Girls have strong feelings about everything like love, family friends, All that stuff. Boys hvae feelings about stuff but not as strong as girls!! Boys don't cry wen there sad they just act like watever!!

lol hahaha, im a girl and i don't cry for everyting. maybe the girls who no are retarded but for me its takes a fair bit, i mean i'd cry if i like broke something like my knee...or if something bad happened to someone i love...like someone died not broke a nail (now that would be retarded) i think u must just no some wacko girls, good grief i'd probly smack them and tell them to grab ahold of themself and shut up...lol...mabe u should just give em a smack lol....have fun!
i actually just came to add one more thing, sometimes girls feel like crying during their time of the month, its like a crappy feeling, it always makes me mad becuz like u said ealier theirs no reason, its just the way our stupid bodies are and its a pain
