I fly several times a month - here is the website that will give you your answer: www.tsa.gov
Just be sure that your liquids, gels, etc. (3 oz or under) are put in ONE QUART SIZE CLEAR ZIP LOCK BAG. Only one bag allowed per person. I put my things in a gallon size bag and they took things away that cost lots of $.
Other liquids can be packed in your check in luggage. If you only have carry on that could be a hassle as you may have to purchase needed items at your destination.
These new liquid rules make it difficult for women as we have so much more stuff, i.e. make-up, etc.
Go to the above website as some of the previous answers were not correct.. Have a great trip. :)

A search in a search engine wouldv'e done the trick, but here is a link to the faa website, on prohibited and permitted items: http://www.tsa.gov/travelers/airtravel/prohibited/permitted-prohibited-items.shtm
And as far as i know, perfumes are permitted on carry on luggage if it is under 3 oz of perfume, but you can definately put it in your checked luggage if you wont be needing it during the airplane ride and during your connections.

To answer specifically - you cannot bring a bottle of perfume onto the plane (in your carry on, not checked luggage) unless its bottle is 3oz or less, and you put it in a clear zip-lock bag and have it xrayed with your other liquids.

Go on the homeland security web site you'll find all you need to know. A couple of mos. ago we couldn't take anything in liquid form, no toothpaste either. So, check it out and don't worry. They are very nice. nothing to worry about, they check pretty good and that's really important to me. Just stop at wal mart when you get where you're going and buy small. have fun, enjoy!

If you check luggage, you can bring almost anything in the luggage. (There are a few exceptions -- no matches, lighters, or firearms.) For carry-on luggage, avoid gels or fluids of any kind; you can carry small amounts if you do it right but it isn't worth the hassle. For more details, go to your airline's web site and explore it.

Your best bet is to go the website of the airline you are flying and they should have a list posted of what is allowed and what is not allowed.
