it says "I carry a rock in my pocket as a simple reminder to me of the fact that I am a christian, wherever I happen to be..." And that's all I remember. ALSO- if you just want to respond to bash christians and be a jerk, please don't...Thanks!

Typical...you asked for help..thinking only a Christian would know this poem, and an atheist gives you an answer that says "I know but I'm not gonna help ya, since ya didn't invite me to answer your question"....Since when do atheists need a special invite to crash the party? How small and petty!
It's a beautiful poem, BTW!

Here you go...it's a really great poem..God Bless You♥
I carry a cross in my pocket
A simple reminder to me
Of the fact that I am a Christian
No matter where I may be.
This little cross is not magic
Nor is it a good luck charm
It isn't meant to protect me
From every physical harm.
It's not for identification
For all the world to see
It's simply an understanding
Between my Savior and me.
When I put my hand in my pocket
To bring out a coin or key
The cross is there to remind me
Of the price He paid for me.
It reminds me, too, to be thankful
For my blessings day by day
And to strive to serve Him better
In all that I do and say.
It's also a daily reminder
Of the peace and comfort I share
With all who know my master
And give themselves to His care.
So, I carry a cross in my pocket
Reminding no one but me
That Jesus Christ is Lord of my life
If only I'll let Him be.

Verna Mae Thomas wrote it....but it's "Cross" in my pocket, not "rock"

The word Christian became a bad word politically because Christianity is not supposed to be political. It is not supposed to be involved in secular government. However, from the time the Messiah passed away, politicians, particularly, political philosophers from all over the known pagan world at that time began encroaching into Christianity diluting the religion with their views. The Romans, particularly Constantine, wanting to end the disputes between pagans and Christians declared Christianity as a state religion. And thereafter, the Roman Church, Catholic Church, masquerading as the true Christian Church Christianized may pagan customs. And those customs are tied with political tenets. Thus, Christianity, the dilluted Christianity became a political word. It became a bad political word because, Christianity began to be fragmented along the lines, not only on doctrinal lines, but on political issues. That is the reason why there are so many religions now masquerading as Christians. I wish I could say more, but space would not permit me.

I actually know that poem, but since you specifically requested "christians only" I can't help you. Hate to crash the party.
