hmm..i sense you're trying to be cute with your question...sorry, but i don't get your humor...for myself, I do read the Bible every day and i am in the process of reading it straight through...The Book is full of wonderful stories and proofs of love, grace, and mercy...and yes, lots of people have finished reading the Bible but will continue to look into the Word for hope and encouragement which comes from our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ...God Bless You♥

Reading the Bible isn't a matter of how long it takes you to finish it. There is a lot of stuff in there, and things a person most certainly won't understand by reading it only once through. So people use it to study...from in depth studies in theological seminaries using the original languages and commentaries, to every day personal devotions and meditations. Then there are situations where you might have head knowledge of a passage, but until you're going through a particular moment in life, you won't have the heart knowledge until you read it again and realize the impact it has.

Its a great reread talk about the things you might miss the first time!! The Bible is not just a book it is the word of God unlike a regular book this one can teach you something new many times over. It is the living word of God and I'm not talking living in the carnal sense of the word but living in the spiritual sense of the word.

Miss smarty pants the Bible is a book of knowledge. You use it to research questions about life that come up.

And to answer your question I did read it all, and continue to read it maybe I skip a day but to read it all gives a pretty good history lesson, it is not all hell and brimstones, but you wouldn't know that as you didn't read it, and oh yeah there is no christmas, easter bunny, tooth fairy, hollowe'en either that is all man made and commercialism that we buy into and lie to our children about and then try and teach them not to lie. How wonderful.

Hopefully one day you will seek knowledge instead of poking fun at something you are not ready to or prepared to accept as fact, isn't it funny that this is the only book that survived throughout milennia's , sure it has lost much in translation as all works do, I bet it was even embelished a little here and there, but the message remains the same and brings comfort to many who seek it. Peace be with you.

If you want to show your self approved of God then you will study His Word every day. 2 Timothy 2: 15 Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. If you would like to understand God's will for your the you will consider what the Apostle Paul writes the church today. 2 Timothy 2: 7 Consider what I say; and the Lord give thee understanding in all things.

LOL The Bible gives the promise that it is the only book ever written that is living. It is always new. Sort of like the Neverending Story.

Blessed Be

The bible is not like any other book. It is a guidebook to life. It is the only self-help book you will ever need. There are answers for any question you might have on life, if you just look hard enough.

I'm going to take that as being cute. This is what makes this collection of books so special. You can continue to read it and re-read it and still come away with a new insight.

J.P. God's Word is alive and is constantly speaking to me. It doesn't matter how many times that I read it, I get something new out of it every time. If I didn't, then there would be something wrong with me.

What books do you know by heart, any? I have been reading it all my life and it has become my crutch, without it I could not walk!

Also, to those that are spiritually blind, the words have no meaning.
