Walter Reed Army Medical Center is located in northern Washington, D.C., at 7100 Georgia Ave. N.W., between Rock Creek Park and Georgia Avenue near the Maryland - District of Columbia boundary.
b. To drive to Walter Reed, follow Interstate Highway 495, the Capital Beltway, to exit 31 (Georgia Avenue/Silver Spring/ Maryland Route 97). Drive south on Georgia Avenue toward Silver Spring and Washington for 2.8 miles. Turn right into Walter Reed at the intersection of Georgia Avenue and Elder Street, and make an immediate left turn onto the ramp of the underground parking garage.
c. From downtown Washington, drive north on 7th Avenue N.W., which becomes Georgia Avenue N.W. Continue on Georgia Avenue to the 7100 block. Turn left into at the intersection of Georgia Avenue and Elder Street, and make an immediate left turn onto the ramp of the underground parking garage.

It is not hard to find if you have a basic understanding of D.C. LOL I honestly I don't- but I'll give you directions the best of my ability. If you are on the beltway going North you'll pass the LDS Temple and the Chevy Chase exit. The very next exit is Georgia Ave. There is exit A or B....It is the first exit. Go between 5- 8 miles ( sorry but I never looked to see how many miles and the flow of traffic changes travel time) It is a busy street- but keep going till you'll see Walter Reed gates. They change the entry gate fairly often so you might have to circle the block to find an entrance. Also you must have a Military ID and you'll want to be prepared to have your car searched....I hope that helps.

use mapquest or rand-mcnally for driving directions.
and compare... they should provide what u need. But I thought that facility was closing? Maybe I'm mixing up facilities?
