If it is burny, and you feel urgency to urinate, it probably is a urinary tract infection. Drink LOTS of water, and UNSWEETENED cranberry juice. Contrary to what a lot of people think, the cranberry juice doesn't kill the bacteria, it just makes it hard for the bacteria to cling to the inside of your bladder. I don't know how old you are, sometimes a kidney stone will move and cause blood to flow into your bladder which will cause the same symptoms. It does not matter if you cannot see blood in the urine or not because it isn't always viewable to the naked eye, so it could be in there. The azo and uristat and other meds like that from the drug store will NOT help pain if it is caused by blood in the bladder instead of bacteria. But if the discomfort is really bothering you, go to the drugstore and get one of those and try them. Be sure to eat and drink a full glass of water with them,,,they can cause stomach upset if you don't. Take warm baths only, not hot, and don't use bubble baths or body washes, or perfumed sprays, scented tampons, etc. Dry yourself well and wear cotton crotched undies. Stay away from sugary foods and call your doctor or free clinic to be sure it is an infection and not a sexually transmitted disease, you don't want to take chances. If it is a uti, you will be needing antibiotics anyway, so don't put this off. Take care hun.

Start drinking lots of cranberry juice(It will help relieve some of the pain), and set up an appointment with your physician, it sounds like an urinary tract infection but check with your Doctor to make sure it is not more serious. You can also try www.webmd.com for other possible problems. Use there symptom checker it is pretty accurate.

Sounds like a basic, Urinary Tract Infection. These are very common in females!

If you go to your local super market and buy a big bottle to cranberry juice it will definatly help. Also, pharmacies carry urinary alkalizers such as Ural or Citravescent which also assist with the pain.

If you find none of these work, its bet to go to your doctor, as buring when urinating is also a symptom of a few STD's.

Go to your doctor imidiatly. DO NOT DRINK CRANBERRY JUICE untill you see the doctor. If you have blood in your urin it may be a urinary tract infection...or it can be a disease called Interstatial Cystitis and drinking cranberry juice can make it worse...so see your doctor first.

Think back to anyone you had sex with who seemed alittle risky! If you come up with no one, well, just don't wash it out with soap haha. K sorry, next, probably contact one of the doctors who is online on yahoo answers and give them more specifics about it. If you don't get an answer there, go visit a doctor. I hope you don't have gonorea
