It's very possible. There's a possibility that he didn't feel like the relationship could stand the distance, it's a very difficult thing (I've been in a long distance relationship for 3 years, now). Talk to him and ask him why exactly a long distance relationship is a reason to break up. In my book, I'd give him credit. Better that he break up with you now than cheat on you later.

If he breaks up becuase of long-distance relationship most of the time that is gone. Both of you should give a little support to keep it going. But there are boys/girls who do it for fun that is something difficult to verify when someone is not close by. If you have seen him or met him before he went somewhere (I assume so) and if you have liked him and he liked you then still there's a good chance that he likes you too. But if he has long forgotten you then he will start thinking of you when something goes wrong: but it also depends on how you have treated him. Give it a go and keep in touch with him.

I think you should not give u, try to hold on to him, he breaks up with you because of the distance, don't give up. How about to continue the friendship relationship?

This is what I am facing now, I also have a long distance relationship, we both like each other, but not much we can do, all I can do is e-mail him.

What more you can do, may be chat on the msn or yahoo messenger with the web-cam. if possible, talk on the phone too.

As from my personal experience, unless you make you he breaks up with you because of the distance, or if you feel he still like you, don't give up on him, don't let him go.

If you found out he don't like you....forget about it, it is not worth to hold on to someone who don't likes you.

It's possible. I was in your position once. We'd lived in the same town and then he moved and he didn't like not having me around everyday. Basically he was too lazy! If you call him in a month or two and he answers and talks to you it's probably because he misses talking to you. If he doesn't answer or call back, he used the long distance thing as an easy way out.

If he did that, it probably means he found someone else who is closer.
Guys who are sincerely in love with you will weather the long distance relationship.
He was a fair weather friend. At least he did not lead you on.

Move on it can work for him(distance). He likes you as a friend but you being a girlfriend doesnt work for him he needs someone in the same area.

He might still like you but isn't ready to deal with the stress that comes with it. If you still like him, you can tell him how you feel and take it from there.
