I love the Rosary. To me it is like nursing pure Mothers milk full of the best graces. You receive all kinds of special graces from the Rosary. It is calming and strengthening and loving all at the same time. I can just feel our Mother's arms around me comforting me.

I used to say the rosary alot when i was little, now not really, but i always take it with me when i'm travelling, it reassures me when i'm on a plane although i don't pray with it (more a good luck charm). I remember in one situation i was in real fear for my life and i ended up saying the hail mary for about one hour solid, despite not having the beads with me. I'm not a traditional catholic (actually i'm quite religiously confused!), but no other prayer is as reassuring to me because the hail mary was one of the first i ever learnt, and praying with the rosary is very calming, almost like meditating.

God has told us that in remembering God the hearts find peace and reassurance and that is what the rosary does, a way to seek forgiveness and mercy from the AlMighty God. but even saying rosary doesn't helps if it is not Gods Will. All happens by the Will of God and no man can know the Will of God, we all are vile, abject and helpless human beings before our Creator and besides praying we have nothing with our selves. may God AlMighty forgive u sfor our sins and has mercy on us. amen.

I once met a lunatic in a mental hospital who claimed he said the rosary for thirty years ...I guess that tells a lot.

Jesus said "when you pray, do not use empty repetitions as the heathen do: for they think that they shall be heard for their much speaking, therefore don't be like them. Mathew 6:7&8. Jesus also said "you have made the commandment of God of no effect by your tradition. Mathew 15:6 If your tempted to give me a thumbs down heh don't be angry with me, Jesus is the one who said it.

Why is this done? I don't get it. Nowhere in the bible does it say anything about this. Jesus said that God doesn't hear repetitive prayers! Just talk to God...through His son!
