Sometimes I would bring pasta in a thermos. You don't have to microwave it, because the thermos kept the food warm. Hope this helps.

Salad with some leftover meat from the night before, like chicken or steak. Then sprinkle on some croutons or salad shakers and then some dressing. Maybe some of those single serving cans of fruit with the pull off lids. The new 100 calorie packs are pretty good and filling too.

If you have a good thermos, you can take all kinds of soup. Or you can take a salad in a bag. Just put your dressing in a separate container to pour over the salad just before you eat it. Leftover chicken tastes good eaten cold, if you like that. You can make wraps by spreading cream cheese onto a tortilla, add your favorite meat and/or sliced veggies. You can really take just about anything you like to eat. Just think about if it needs to be hot or cold, can it fit in a thermos? If not, that won't work. If it doesn't need to be hot or cold, it should be easy to take along.
Good Luck!

In order to stay healthy, you need enough lean protein - it's necessary to build muscle, so you lose only fat. Good choices are low-fat yogurt, low fat cottage cheese, water-packed tuna, or grilled chicken breast. Add some steamed vegetables and a small serving of brown rice or a slice of whole-wheat bread, and you have a good meal. You could also try a "healthy-meal" shake - it's a whole balanced meal, but it tastes like dessert! Contact me directly for more details. Deena Lari, personal wellness coach

go to the store and buy a roasted chicken for 4 or 5 bucks. Then bring it a little at a time cold. You can also bring potato salad. Boiled eggs are good. Eggs are fat balanced so they won't hurt you. Spinach dip and bagel chips.

Yeah I agree with you...I don't have time to eat at school because I Ieave at lunch for a class over in the next town. You're lucky you actually have time to sit and eat at school. One good idea is to bring dry cereal in a plastic container and buy a white milk carton at school. Bags of chips, cookies, cold pizza...it's all good!! And bring juice or buy milk or soda at school.

Simple, but tasty and filling: bananas and boiled eggs (bring salt!), and dried fruits.
