Think of sweet, silly things that the two of you have done together. Don't go for big laughs, or embarrassing situations - make it more of a "I remember when..." type of thing. When Jennifer Aniston married Brad Pitt she promised to always make his favorite banana shake, and he promised to split the difference on the thermostat. Things like that get a nice chuckle and people remember them as sweet.

The Simpson's: find the episode where Homer divorces Marge & remarries her because he's afarid that he's gonna lose her like Kirk lost LuAnn Van Houten because their marriage was on the rocks. When you hear the words "jet powered monkey navigated... " maybe you'll have some idea. I've been married 4 years so I don't think about our vows but we went traditional. I wanted humor so we had a Mardi Gras style reception; for more information about that ask me in a e-mail.

Thanks & take care.

Is there anything about her personality or any habit you can share and not get smacked for after the wedding. Or maybe a funny story about the two of you. Something a little embarrassing on a date that you two can laugh at now but maybe was a defining moment for you.

I think you might want to rethink the humor in your vows. Do you want your marriage vows to be something to laugh at? How about having a light-hearted, humorous wedding reading instead?

The vows are not the time for humour. When you speak at the reception, then you can make comments like that.

Don't. The vows are sacred and special. It's not the time to be funny.

How about inserting the phrase "yes dear" at one or more choice spots.
