if you are saying im sorry you need to say lo siento or lo siento mucho, disculpame, perdoname, te pido perdon. here the endings mean that is you who is sorry, any spanish speaker will understand you if you use any of this.

sorry means perdon, disculpa. here, im just translating the word exactly.
