I was hit by a baseball really hard about 3 weeks ago on my cheek and the tissue where I was hit is harder than the surrounding tissue. It seems to get a little softer every day so I can tell it is healing but its taking a really long time. The tissue is still a little swollen on my cheek compared to the other side. My question is is this normal and how long will it take for the tissue to fully heal. Could I have a cyst on my cheek? I dont think its a cyst because the tissue gets a little softer every day but I am not sure. How do cysts form? The tissue is still sensitive when I grab my cheek I heard cysts a painless so this also makes me think the tissue is just swollen but its seems strange for it to be swollen for this long.

a known history of local trauma suggest a deep hematoma that is taking its time to resolve, even when it resolves and months have elapsed, remember that both sides of the human body are not identical mirrors to each other, as long it is not getting swollen, bigger, warm, tender or red, just use some warm packs on and off and hang on tight, does not sound like anything concerning, good luck
