I fly 2-3 times a month and this is how it works - you book on line, and in a few minutes your airline will email you an E-ticket with the itinerary and a confirmation number.

If you are flying within the U.S. you can print out your boarding pass 12 to 24 hours before your flight - depends on the airline - when you log on it will ask for your confirmation number, then follow the instructions.

I just returned from Canada and because I was returning to the U.S. I had to print my boarding pass 12 hours, or less, from the flight time.

If you will be flying on more than one plane to your destination, it will print out a boarding pass for each leg of the trip. When you get ready to return, go on line and print out your boarding pass for your return trip using the above instructions.

If you don't have use of a computer, the hotel will do this for you or you can have one printed when you get to the airport - just go to the counter of your airline - this may cause some delay as there may be a line - have a good trip. :)

Usually, when you book a flight online you go to the airline's website within 24 hours of your scheduled flight and go to the reservations area and follow the instructions to get your e-ticket, boarding pass and receipt. Have a good trip!

Your airline ticket and boarding pass are the same thing. Go to the ticket counter the day you are flying )at least an hour before departure) show them your ID and check in. Thats all there is to it.

you have to receive it right away.... if only you want to print it out from your computer... they have two options... either they'll mail it to you... or they e-mail it to you and then you print it out...
