you bet they are, they want to convert you by being critical of you for doing what God told you to do, tell the world that JESUS SAVES!

If they were TRULY atheist, they wouldn't waist one moment of their uncertain short life to come here. They belong to the enemy, there end is no different than someone who rejects Christ, because that is exactly what they are doing, but that isn't enough, they want to try to make you feel bad and cause you to question your faith.

Atheist = loser

One could also ask if all the religious people are on this forum to push their religion. And I say, so what if they are? People have been trying to push their beliefs on the next person since the beginning of time.

I have an interest in theological discussion and seeing other people's points of view. I have an interest in countering the lies and halftruths that some religions spread around, particularly in the sciences. I enjoy the conversation, usuaully.

Atheists can be quite spiritual despite their nontheistic beliefs. Don't be so quick to judge or dismiss. It's rude and sinful according to most of the YHVH cults & sects. Something about a speck and a plank?

I guess they are just trying to help you be cured of the three biggest mental illnesses the world have ever known that have caused more suffering and pain in this world than all other causes combined, namely Judaism,Islam and Christianity. But of course not everyone can be cured and some revel in their delusion and madness no matter how much humanity has to suffer for it,namely religious fanatics,as long as they can couch their hatred and prejudice in pretty words they will embrace their madness to the end, even if it's the cause of mankinds eventual undoing.

Not at all, we are all here to share and question each others opinions. Debate is natural and its also quite healthy. There are rude agnostics and atheists out there, but there are also rude people with warped religious views too. It goes every single which way, not one.

In the long run, i love to listen to what people have to say and if that involves religion then so be it.

I believe that you have answered ur first question with the second question but may I add that these people who reside on this site daily are not true atheists but Anti-theists who hate God and his followers. Every thing that believers hold true such as putting away immorality and sin unfortunately these people want the opposite.

Great question!

God bless.

People who are athiests can be spiritual - not believing in a god is still an outlook on the universe, no less valid or important than being part of an organised religion.

I'm here because Christians are trying to impose rules on non-Christians.

1. Efforts to prevent the legalization for same-sex marriage have come almost entirely from Christian groups.

2. Anti-homosexual rights efforts in general have been fostered by church groups. These groups are trying to find ways to re-criminalize homosexuality, which mirrors the efforts put forward in Nazi Germany.

3. Efforts by Christians to restrict women's control over their bodies by insisting that women are nothing more than incubators, slaves that are meant to carry any fertilized egg until it becomes a child.

4. Efforts to halt stem-cell research based on the assumption that fertilized eggs in fertility clinics are human and so have rights, even though they will be tossed out like yesterday's tuna.

5. Blindness to the torture of foreigners by the US government, a callous first for Christians in over 100 years.

6. The support by most protestant Christians for the death penalty, in spite of the damage it does to human morality because it suggests that killing is a just response to anything. (Why is it that I as an atheist feel like I have to preach higher morals to Christians?)

7. Efforts to turn science class into a religion class by attempting to insert intelligent design, a religious doctrine that cannot be tested via the scientific method, into science class.

8. The insistence that Christians have a higher standing in the universe than the rest of humanity.

9. The perpetuation of gender stereotypes within families, leading to the curtailment of women's choices and the prevention of children from having a full range of options available as they plan for adult lives. (For example, women can often not become ordained.)

10. The elevation of faith above rational thinking such that people are taught that their emotional responses supersede any rational thought.

These are enough reasons to keep Christians aware of the damage they do to those who choose not to join their faith.

Trying to prevent the tyranny of theocracy, and maybe bring people to the realization that preaching hate is dangerous for every one.

A lot of intelligent people own computers, and find the forum. If you want to be left in your ignorance, we have no objection.
