Mine (Newfies) one pound to one and a half pounds. There are times that you will get two pounders in a smaller litter.

Thats not a very specific question. What kind of dog had that puppies? How big is mommy dog? What kind of dog is daddy? There are too many factors to weigh in. Was mom 100% HEALTHY throughout breeding, pregnancy, birth, after birth? Was daddy a healthy dog? Smaller dogs having puppies tend to weigh less than, oh, say a st. bernards puppies. It really depends on the dog. Weigh all of the puppies you have right now, one by one. If they all weigh roughly about the same. There is your answer. Thats all I can tell you with NO information.

It depends on the size of the Moma and the number in the litter...If a dog has 3 pups they are going to be bigger than if she has 12...There is No clear answer here..If you have to give an estimate go with 8 ounces!

Weights will vary with different breeds and how many pups they have. Our Doberman pups ranged from 14 - 20 ounces (8 in the litter).

for chrsban: what breed whelps 15 lb pups?

This will vary greatly with the breed of your dog. My chihuahuas normally weigh 2-4 oz, but a St Bernard would weigh much, much more. Not sure how much. When my Great Pyrennes had pups, they weighed 1-1.5 lb each.

It depends on the breed of the puppy. Toy breeds are ounces while giant breeds are a couple of pounds.
