It depends on your hair's current condition.

If you're bleaching, make sure you go to see a stylist who knows his/her perms.

Bleaching is very harsh on the hair and, whilst some manufacturers do make a mild solution for sensitised hair, the rule of thumb is to generally stay away from bleaching and perming hair.

I recommend that you go talk to a professional who can actually see your hair and it's current condition.

I have never seen a perm look good, NEVER. Bleaching your hair has probably killed any hope for it actually holding the wretched perm anyway...Why not grow your natural color out, give your hair a breather and then start over!

No ! do not perm it. Bleach makes the hair very porous and damaged. If you perm on top of the bleach it will get gummy and break off.

It will be ok to perm your hair, but just dont keep highlighting after highlighting and bleaching after bleaching. It will eventually fry you hair and it will become frizzy and oily. It will be ok, but just dont overdue with the chemicals you put on your scalp. The chemicals will eat away at you hair and scalp and cause dry scalp, dandruff and itchiness of the scalp. Good Luck

Sure it is safe. My grandmother dyed her hair red since she was 29. She's 65 now. She just got a perm 3 weeks ago. Why WOULDN'T it be safe? Go for it chick!

In a word, yes. The modern perms are as gentle on your hair as the low or no ammonia hair coloring.
