depends how long you have been in the relationship and where you are at now. try to do something that shows you know her better than she thinks you do. spend time thinking about her. what she is like, what she likes and whether or not you appreciate these things. for example my girlfriend likes to go out on the lake with a canoes . So i showed her some things i know about canoes one night out on the water during a beautiful sunset. another example is doing something with her that she enjoys and that you might like. my girlfriend has a thing for Chinese food so we went to her favorite Chinese place. talk about things you like to do. and if she starts a conversation be careful not to end it. if she says something for no apparent reason (except that it breaks the silence) talk about the subject anyway. for example "i like the color of that wall" she says. don't say "me too" and end it there elaborate on other colors you like or why you like them.something.

The key ingrediant to any relationship (romantic or not) is communication. The two of you have to be able to communicate! Ask her how her day was or what her stance is on controversial issues. If the two of really care for each other and the relationship, there should be no problem finding things to talk about. Good Luck to the both of you!

If there's no substance, then perhaps you just aren't a good match...if you have to ask strangers for topics of conversation, it doesn't sound like y'all are headed anywhere positive...

Maybe you should consider if you are 'settling' just to be with someone, or if you really care about this person in a romantic way...if you do not, then consider moving on so you can both meet someone who will dig you (romantically) and whom you will have more in common with...

you can start by complimenting her dressing or asking her for advice before you decide anything... and how about giving her a surprise treat or present?

or maybe go to the point: ask her how she feels abt you two. then tell her how you feel--it's stale, boring, etc. start the communication bond again :)

remember that a healthy, happy relationship requires a lot of effort from both parties. you can do it... hope my little advice helps...
