hi was wondering if anyone can tell me what the bible says about ghost.are they real?

i have had a few expereinces with what i feel to be ghost and would like to know the real truth does the bible say we will be able to see ghosts and talk with them dureing our time here on earth?can anyone explain e.s.p. my mother had this all her life and now she has passed on and am curious if this is a real thing was she just telling me stories do i have it am i crazy?help please.

NO. The dead can not do anything.

Where are the dead?

Gen. 3:19: “In the sweat of your face you will eat bread until you return to the ground, for out of it you were taken. For dust you are and to dust you will return.”

Eccl. 9:10: “All that your hand finds to do, do with your very power, for there is no work nor devising nor knowledge nor wisdom in Sheol [“the grave,” KJ, Kx; “the world of the dead,” TEV], the place to which you are going.”

What is the condition of the dead?

Eccl. 9:5: “The living are conscious that they will die; but as for the dead, they are conscious of nothing at all.”

Ps. 146:4: “His spirit goes out, he goes back to his ground; in that day his thoughts [“thoughts,” KJ, 145:4 in Dy; “all his thinking,” NE; “plans,” RS, NAB] do perish.”

John 11:11-14: “‘Lazarus our friend has gone to rest, but I am journeying there to awaken him from sleep.’ . . . Jesus said to them outspokenly: ‘Lazarus has died.’” (Also Psalm 13:3)

Is there some part of man that lives on when the body dies?

Ezek. 18:4: “The soul [“soul,” RS, NE, KJ, Dy, Kx; “man,” JB; “person,” TEV] that is sinning—it itself will die.”

Isa. 53:12: “He poured out his soul [“soul,” RS, KJ, Dy; “life,” TEV; “himself,” JB, Kx, NAB] to the very death.” (Compare Matthew 26:38.)

Are the dead in any way able to help or to harm the living?

Eccl. 9:6: “Their love and their hate and their jealousy have already perished, and they have no portion anymore to time indefinite in anything that has to be done under the sun.”

Now there are demons and that's something else.

Rather than ask what the bible -- a book of mythology from ancient peoples ignorant of how the world really works -- says about "ghosts," perhaps you should consider what science has to say about them?
From the scientific point of view: there has never been a single verifiable case of any kind of apparition, disturbance, poltergeist, etc. that could be attributed to a "ghost" or spirit. In short: there is no proof of any kind that they exist.

People have odd feelings, scared moments, "deja vu," etc. all the time. The vast majority of these feelings have direct causes in your brain and are easily explained chemically and psychologically, with no need for an appeal to anything "supernatural." That there are a few such feelings that can't be explained scientifically (yet) doesn't mean they're supernatural, it just means that either they can't be repeated to be tested, or that we don't know why they happen *yet.*

By the way, despite thousands of tests desperately trying to prove the existence of ESP, there has never been a postive, repeatable test of that either. That someone believes they have it doesn't prove it...sorry.

If by Ghost you mean seeing or talking to dead loved ones, relatives or other dead people, then the answer is no. Satan (the opposer of God) has another title ‘The Devil’ which means a vicious liar. Devil is full of deceits. The spirit creatures and fallen angels that follow Satan are Demons. Demons are real, since Satan is the current ruler of this World.
Satan can take many forms and guises. He came as a serpent to deceive Eve. He uses living people to come to you in the guise of a friend, but really a roving wolf who has put on sheep’s clothing. If we don’t choose God and work harmoniously with his ways, then we may be on the side of Satan.

Your dead loved ones are not aware of what you the living are doing and they cannot help or harm you. Ecclesiastes 9:5 says –“The dead areonscious of nothing at all.” Job 14:10, 21 enlightens us that :An earthling man expires (dead), and where is he? His sons get honored, but he does not know it.” Psalm 49:10,17,18,19 shades further light. Please read it.

You should not fear the dead. Ecclesiastes 9:5,6 adds that “as for the dead……their love and their hate and their jealousy have already perished, and they have no portion (nothing to do with the living) anymore to time indefinite in anything that has to be done under the sun.” Psalm 146:3,4 enlightens us as to what we should not do: ---“Do not put your trust in nobles nor ….earthling man,…..His spirit goes out, he goes back to his ground; in that day, his thoughts do perish.” So now you know that Spirit mediums do not contact dead people but only dabble into spiritism and demonism. Do not fear the dead. Fear God. Draw close to God and He will draw close to you..James 4:8

Your Mother wasn't crazy .... Ghost are as real as God.

Ive seen or felt their presences since age four, I even felt God's presence, and what he said to me.

The last two in my place were Spirits, one I believe is my Spirit Guide, the other just may be my son's Spirit guide, they wake me, when my son is in need. My Spirit Guide communicated for about seven months, But I only seen her once, she spoke to me out loud, very very beautiful voice.
Ghost as well as Spirits, would or can't hurt you, Spirits do touch a lot, very compassionately. Sometimes it runs in the family blood, the gift, My Mother told as kids a lot of stories too. I feel I have it the strongest in the family, perhaps cause I am open to it all. I can tell you many stories, I would like to write a book.
There's nothing evil about it, except you tent to be scared of what you don't understand, I am now getting use to it, perhaps. That's one reason why I am called intel-eyes.... I have the eyes of a camera:)

First off, I am a christian and I have a deep faith in God. My friend and I were sleeping over at her sisters house and long story short, a spirit in the shape of a man walked thru us and stopped in the middle of the living room and disappeared. Both of us to this day remember that night and I never set foot in that house after that.

I did not believe in ghosts until then. I believe God protects us and there are things we do not understand.

Bible says " the sleeping in the Lord will arise first" at his next coming....maybe some of them are sleepwalking? ;))

I do not know the answer, but I have SEEN AND FELT something I could not explain. I would not get involved with trying to converse because if it is evil, you will be opening yourself up for trouble.

You are not crazy.
Our Minds are pretty Powerful.
There are Things that take Time to Learn.
We all have that Ability (what we call ESP), but Most don't ever get to Experience it.
It can scare a Person if it happens to someone---just know that your not Crazy.

As far as Ghost--what we Call Ghost--it is best to Leave That Stuff Alone.
