I do not think he is too old. You may just be too young. The law is really weird about this sort of thing. If you have the approval of your parents/guardians then I say go for it. If he is interested in you you guys just need to discuss how you will conduct yourselves in a relationship. Definatley have your parents in on it and you should be fine Trust me 26 year old guys are not that mature....they just may be ready for things you are not ready for so be careful and askk for guidance from an adult....

I started dating my current boyfriend when i was 17 and he was 24. There is no shame is dating an older guy. It makes sense since you two are more-than-likely on the same maturity level. Look hun, age is nothing but a number. The only thing that matter is your happiness, your relationship, and how well you two get along. Me and my boyfriend are still together 2 years later. Just be sure this guy is what you want. The age difference is nothing to stress over. Good luck!

I don't think it's that much of a difference. If you were 18 it would not be an issue. Jerry Seinfeld's wife was in her late teens when they married. I'd hang on to him if you think you have a good relationship.

Unfortunately, at age 17, this probably won't be the last guy you date. That being said, be careful with your heart and your body. If he truly does care about you, he won't rush you into doing "things" before you're ready. If he sticks around, you'll know he cares.

i don't think it's a problem as long as yuo are sure that he is sincere about it. many older guys take advantage of younger girls because younger girls are more gullible.

wait and test him out against time. if he is sincere and is worth your while then go ahead. there is no age constraint when it comes to love. good luck.

Well, if you really think about it, he could be charged with a crime that is if your parents know and stuff like that. If it was me in your position, I wouldn't do it. Keep your options open....you will find someone your own age.

That is just a little too old. Plus you are putting him in a bad position.

Too old-- the only result is a broken heart.

Wowsers! I would say he's a bit too old, trying someone in their early twenties.
