Most people don't want it, but I am not one of them. The problem is that people allow mixed signals to short circuit the relationship because sex is a part of the relationship. Unfortunately, you can't tell these people to lighten up as they see sex as the be all and end all of human existence and can lead to only one thing: marriage and kids. Friends with benefits, unlike most other relationships is not linear--it is multi-dimensional. That makes it far more rewarding, but unfortunately, most people don't get it.

Yes, *I* can and have...not everyone can however...not everyone has the desire or the ability to emotionally compartmentalize...and even those that can, will sometimes find themselves falling for their fwb regardless...it can be tough for some to not develop emotions/feelings for the person they have sex with...

Others can treat sex as just another recreational activity, and so keep it unemotional just as they would if they were playing tennis or bowling with someone...

Yes. It just depends. I know a couple of girls that we get together and have a good night together every now and then even though we know we will never have a relationship.

friends with benefits always start out as something agreeable and fun but usually we women tend to become emotional which is human nature and that always messes it up

my opinion is either have fun while it lasts because it won't last forever

I'd rather have a FwB than a boyfriend. You get to stay single and enjoy your independence without being totally celibate . . . what could be better?

you basically can you have a friend that you just have sex with. if you are a guy why are you asking this? can you not catch feelings for someone after having sex with them. thats male emotion spewing from your direction, my advice man up, bang her, and go home like nothing even happened

i have. we did everything that normal couples did we just didn't want to be together together like everyone else. we were basically just there to fall back on when we wanted to do something without the commitment. we actually ended up dating though.
