Well, you'd have to get a biopsy to actually tell weather it were cancer or not. Even if we were knowledgeable enough to give you the chances, we don't have any tissue or cells to test! Have her Go get a biopsy done, then talk to her doctor, and get a second opinion if it appears to be malignant.

IF SHE DOES NOT GO, then she does not know, people on the Internet can't tell you.

Even if it is a malignant tumor, treatment options today are better than they have ever been, and survival rates have shot up. Best not to panic (especially if you don't have to)

the size of a breast lump does not mean a thing. i am 49 and have had a lot of "scares" with lumps in my breast. fortunately, none of them have been cancerous. i currently have a fibroadenoma (breast lump) that i have to have checked every 6 months. i've had small and large lumps all my life. make sure mom goes to the doctor to get it checked - it's the ONLY option in her case. good luck to your mom - i will say a prayer that everything is fine. try and let us know the outcome.

Well try to be calm. I know it´s hard my mom had a lump in her breast about 5 years ago and I was really worried but ten she got her biopsy and it turned out to be a non malignat lump so be positive and pray, your mom needs your support and your positivism. I wish you and your family the best of luck hopefully everyhthing will be fine!!

Seeing the Dr. is very wise. Maybe nothing to worry about.,so take a deep breathe. I did my battle with this litttle monster this yr. I am free of cancer now & feel very well. I was told this, The vast majority of women survive cancer now. The media if you listen to them they take it the other way. Terrifying people. Here is what I was told; fear of this thing kills more people then the cancer. Fear keeps them from going for medical treatment soon enough. So your mother is on top of it. Good for her. My Prayers go with her & you.
Stick close to her for she needs a friend now more then ever, just for courage.

For now be there for her no matter what the diagnosis is. It's hard to speculate if this is something bad. It's not uncommon for lumps to appear, Chreyll Crow had one early this year and it turned out to be a simple procedure to fix it. Hope everything turns up well for you and your mom.

a lump can be alot of things, cancer, calcium deposites, or just growths. Dont worry cancer treatments have changed alot over the years, they can treat things alot differently now then they use too.
