Cut down on your portions and eat more small meals throughout the day. Exercise at least 20 minutes a day 3 times a week. Other than that you just need to give it time. It can take a couple of weeks before you start to notice a weight loss. Keep in mind - that from the exercise you're toning up and developing muscle. Muscle weighs more than fat but is compact. So you may actually gain weight but trim down if that makes any sense. Don't give up - lots of luck!!!

There are many ways to lose weight.

Some people like "balanced" diets like Weight Watchers or Jenny Craig where you eat low calories.

Some people prefer "low carb" diets like South Beach or Atkins where you forfeit favorite foods but lose a little faster.

Some people prefer "low cal low carb" diets like Kimkins which combines the best of both worlds and produces the fastest weight loss of all.

I lost 198 lb in 1 year on Kimkins and I've maintained for almost 6 years.

Seriously .. diet and EXERCISE! Go get a gym membership. I lost almost 100 lbs by eating right (changing habits) and going to the gym 4-5 times a week. Weights are as important as cardio, so make sure to get that resistance training too! Plus, stay away from white breads and fried foods, limit your dairy products and everything should be great. Don't stop the carbs altogether though, get 12 grain breads and such. Stay away from alcohol if you want real results.

Don't do those fab diets....like "the zone" "south beach" "atkins" etc. I've done both and lost great amounts but gained it back quickly. The problem with them is that you cut things out that you normally eat, and when the cravings kick in, you can't have what you want, which in most cases, makes you stop dieting. Count calories....that's what I do, you don't lose wieght fast, but its a way to eat what you want, and still lose weight...it helps maintain portion sizes...and you will find that you won't eat certain things because you don't want to "eat that many calories".

Yeah, I usually fluctuate in weight between 175 and 200 pounds.

To lose weight, it's all about will power. Eat less and exercise. Stay away from fatty foods and carbs. Eat lots of fruit and vegetables and lean meat One of my favorite diet meals is a small top sirloin steak and garden salad. Tell yourself that the hunger pains is a good thing, because that way you know you are losing weight. It's like the saying "no pain no gain".

Once I lose the weight, it's party time! I love my food and beer. But first, gotta lose the weight.

I try all the time to lose some weight but my problem is trying to stick with something you have to have it set in your head that you want to lose weight. And that you are going to be in control and try different things until you find the right program, diet, whatever it is that you are comfortable with. When i lose weight I find that its because i drink more water and do more physical activity,, Allot of people say that you should change your diet but my sister is heavy weight and she hardly eats, She doesn't do any exercise so if you don't want to change your diet just exercise more and see if that changes anything than try drinking more water and switching to diet drinks. MOst important dont give up.. Try finding someone to exercise with you ,it makes it more fun. Or try to get a membership somewhere where you can meet more people.

Yes, I've lost weight. I put on a lot of difficult to remove weight after my pregnancy. I've found that the best way to keep it off is to make slow changes. Maybe start walking in the mornings with a buddy or switch from pop to water or switch from white flour to whole grains. If you slowly integrate healthier choices into your life, you will be more likely to keep up with them. Also, it helps to involve friends with working out. I cannot keep up a good workout routine if I'm not doing it with other people whether at a class or meeting friends at the park to walk. Good luck to you.

Yes, and the solution is the obvious one that no one likes to hear. Eat only healthy food, lots of RAW fruits & veggies, no processed food, no junk food. Work out a LOT, lots of aerobic exercize & weight training. Muscle burns of lots of calories, so build up muscle & you lose lots of calories even when you sleep.

I tell everyone try weight watchers it works for me. In any diet you have to have some self control and limit your portions. Eat all the fruit and veggies you want and you can have almost all the skinless chicken and fish you want too.
