If there are mediums (spiritual guides) how are they able to communicate with the deceased?

Shouldn't the spirits either be in Heaver or Hell, so-to-speak?

Heaven and hell are points of view, not places. Spirit is and always will be one with everything, so all who pass are still 'here' just in a different form. Communication with spirit isn't all that hard, it's just been made hard to find anyone to teach due to the power mongering involved with large churches. If churches were to tell the masses that everyone can talk to spirit and be saved directly from god, then how could they make all that money? But if you look, that is exactly what JC does say. You will do works like these and greater. No it's not exactly the quote, but it is the gist. JC encouraged people to touch god for themselves and he (god forbid) included women in His ministry. These above all other works are why the Jews persecuted Him and His ministers. So, go pray and find your own spirit within.

the best way is to actually have an oobe or astral project. in this way your spirit is suspended from the physical body and therefor in its own spirit body in the spirit body you are able to see and communicate with other spirit bodies. many do this at a place in faber virginia called the monroe institute in a program called lifelines. problem with this method is that it requires great practice and the fundamental understanding of how beliefs (repeatedly accepted thoughts) work. if you dont believe you can see certain things then at the spiritual level because of that belief you wont see those things.
the next best level which is also at the level where your brain is functioning normally but your body is still out of the conscious loop. (body is asleep) then this is a trance state often brought on in a hypnotic way. (scrying into a reflective surface such as water, mirrors and crystal balls work like this) and some of the best ways of communication is the projection and recieving of images. pictures/feelings. john edwards and rosemary altea are examples of this. sylvia brown does several of these techniques.

I don't believe that the mediums or spiritual guides as they are referred to are actually communicating with the dead I believe it is demons of some sort playing off ppl.
The dead are asleep until Judgement Day when it will be decided the fate of everyone on this planet. Then we will know either Heaven or Hell and that will be Gods decision.

mediums definitionally are able to communicate with the dead.... I mean thats what mediumism is, is a sub-type of psychic who is able to communicate with the dead.

and your exact logic is why some do not belive. some christians think(incorrectly) that they talk to demons or something that are pretending to be the dead.

basically sometimes people do not move on properly, and hang around, (ghosts) and sometimes they return to visit. or give certain info to help people out.

if you are a strict christian then yes they should be in heaven or hell, or possibly trapped in their rotting bodies untill the rapture.

however we (the mediums and spiritualist's) walk a different path.
my wife reads tatot cards and is a channeling medium. she does not talk to dead people, dead people (and sometimes evil spirits or demons) talk through her.

some folks simply are able to see and talk to the roaming spirits of the deceased.

each person is different, but watch out for frauds. they are all too common in the medium/ psychic world.

They don't communicate with the dead, they communicate with Satan ( or other demons/dark angels) disguising himself as the dead.
