Only if you're stupid enough to tell them about it.

Probably if you own up to it, it will be no problem. If you got caught and have a record, there might be a problem.

I think there is some misrepresentation of the concept of JAG that stems from a recent TV show. It is not the romantic department where an officer runs all about a ship tracking down criminals, that is pure BS. JAG is nothing but a law office, and military law at that - about as boring as looking at the grass grow.

If you are interested in chasing down criminals in the service, you need to get into the criminal investigative part of the service. But it will be a long time before you end up chasing criminals unless you have vast police service in your past.

You can take that from a Legal Clerk and Court Reporter in the Navy who worked one of the top ten most secret facilities and dealt with those in criminal investigation all the time.

Not likely be a problem unless it was while you were in the military. The armed forces recognize that recruits are young and do foolish things. Even a possesion conviction might be allowed if it is for a small amount.

Remember you have to be an attorney or in law school to get in. The competition is huge for those jobs.

If they find out, you might get to scrub the toilets. The use of drugs shows (to the Air Force) that you have a weak spot and are not responsible. Also, if you have friends who are still doing illegal drugs, you probably won't even be allowed in. The fear that your friends could sell you out for a fix is a huge concern.

Be careful and stay clean though, and you probably will be fine. Good luck!!

Don't tell them unless you have a record...the recruiters will ask but DO NOT TELL THEM...I worked next door to a recruiting station and got to know the recruiters very well. They have to ask but they have no way of knowing. If you need a Top Secret Security Clearance for your job they are going to talk to your friends make sure they don't tell them anything either.

As long as you don't have a possession conviction on your record you are fine. Marijuana only stays in your system for 3 weeks after you have smoked it.
There is no way anyone could find out you smoked pot, unless of course you were arrested for it!

You probably can still join by showing that you are now clean and stuff and not smoking it ever again. You probably shouldn't try too hard to hide this fact from them, however.
