General Norman Schwartzkoft
General Custer as a Brigadier General at the age of 21 (the youngest general in American history) during the Civil War. He lost the battle of the Little Big Horn when he returned to the Army after the Civil War at the rank of Lt. Colonel.
Robert E. Lee lost just one....but it was a big one.

Alexander The Great
Alexander Patch, one of only 2 American generals to command a division, corps, and army in combat, and the only American general to command large forces in 3 different theaters of combat. He never lost a major unit and accomplished all missions which he was assigned. He was a better combat commander than Patton, Bradley, Montgomery, Rommel, and all the other over-hyped by the media generals of WWII.

Patton was unstoppable during the ww2.
Rommel had a very impressive record until El alamein when he ran into critical fuel shortages
