I have my ears pierce twice and it doesn't hurt that much. You will feel a pinch for a few seconds that's all.

I have had my ears perced with both and I think they hurt about the same amount when they are being done. However looking at the long term pain, getting your ear pierced with a needle is much safer and better for your ear. The needle is hollow and removes the scar tissue, while the "piercing gun" is shoving a slightly blunt object through flesh pushing the scar tissue to the area surrounding the stud. . You have a greater chance of infection or disfiguring your ear all together. In my personal experence I hurt for alot longer after I got pierced with a gun, I also had a tramatic experence the first time I got pierced where the hole became so infected after one night the scar tissue closed up over the earing and I had to have it surgically removed at the ER. That was no parade but I have been pierced again many times! I really hope this helps. Good Luck!!!

u should only get pierced with a needle... guns are basically crap for piercing... they cant be sterilised properly and they cant be anywhere near as presise... the needle will prob hurt less and is so much more controlled and safe... ive had 16 piercings all over my body so i know what a needle feels like... and u really wont b in that much pain... just plz dont get pierced by a gun!!!

With a piercing gun, it's over in a second and really doesn't hurt. The needle is slow and you will feel it. I've had mine done twice. Once with a needle and once with the gun.

No, needle is actually better..the problem with the gun is if you jump at the sound the hole might end up out of line with the other one...

some people are more sensitive, but in general the gun is quicker with less actual pain- as opposed to the needle with somebody applying pressure until they pierce the lobe
