okay I have a problem with counting things if i see something and it has like 12 corners then i have too count like 2,4,6 and so on and if there is an uneven number like 7 then I have to find something to go with 7 to make 8 and I only do it when I'm worried or nervous and I do it all the time so do I have OCD???

Sounds like, at least, a mild case of it. You may just have generalized anxiety and they are basically treated the same way.

i do similar things like that too. i count a lot. i'll count the same sides of a shape over and over.. 1,2,3,4,1,2,3,4,1,2,3,4.... it's weird. i think it might be a small case of OCD but i don't think it's anything to worry about.. for the most part i guess it's pretty normal as long as it's not interferring with your everyday life... like if you drive all the way home from work to see if you turned off the iron... or locking the door like 7 times... but i think we're ok :)

Yes.... it's definitely OCD. Try this first: replace that urge to complete a seven to an eight with a neutral thought.... you can recite a small poem instead.... one that calms you down. If you tried all kinds of strategy and it's still not getting better.... then you need to seek professional help. I healed myself this way- way back when there was no name for this disorder, yet.
