With dark hair you would need a professional to do it. Make an appointment at a renown salon. Yes, and I would die it hot pink or teal.

Well, the first thing you will need to do is have it lightened with bleach....this will prepare it to accept the new color, otherwise the bright color will not be vibrant enough to make the kind of change you are looking for. After your lightening, you can choose from an array of bright, funky, stunning, glossy colors....the absoloute BEST line I know of is Redken Shades EQ Color Glossers . They actually IMPROVE the condition of your hair by sealing the shaft with an ultra shiny, slick glossy coating that slicks down any split ends and virtually stops ALL breakage. Since I've been using it, my hard to grow hair has grown over 9 inches! I am amazed! My daughters hair tended to be frizzy and looked unhealthy no matter what she would do to it, and now it is shiny, no frizz, and long, long, long! They have purples, blues, reds, pinks, you name it....they have a color (or a way to mix to create it). I dye my blonde hair the darkest brown, black with a hint of blue possible.....my daughter dyes her medium brown hair the brightest shade of true fire engine, cherry red. We get constant compliments....I will never stop using Redken Shades EQ...it is simply the best on the market. Good luck with your hair....I hope it turns out smokin' hot!

Going to a salon is the only thing that you can really do. With dark hair like that, any color such as pink would not grab on to your hair and you wouldn't be able to notice the color. If you go to a salon, they wil bleach your hair first and then dye it pink so you get the desired color. Don't try to do this yourself because you could really screw it up.

this is what im planning to dye in the next few years (aka when i get my parents permission), short, sassy jet black hair with metalic blue highlights. its kinda like the one in my avatar.

but looking at your curls of your extremely dark brown hair, it should be like very dark purple with bright blue highlights or maybe a light pink. maybe jet black with hot pink highlights. it depends. i prefer if you're going with a wild color, you need something to accent it.

The best thing to do is go to the Hair Salon. If you do it on your own you can damage your hair. I personally think that you should die it hot pink. That would be funky!

my hair is bright red. sallys has a dye only for dark hair. you can use that without bleach and it will show up fine. but i recommened bleaching strands of ur hair and then dying it whatever color you want. because you want to test it out before you dye everything
