I have 2 male dogs and the oldest is peeing on my furniture. He isn't "peeing" because he has to go, he is marking his territory. He has been fixed and I am ready to strangle him, not really. But I can keep replacing furniture. I know dogs are directed by scent, so is there a scent I can spray on my furniture that will deter him from spraying? Please help!

Everytime he pees on the furniture, you need to pee on it and cover up his scent. He'll eventually get tired of being in a peeing contest with you! Be sure and drink plenty of water so you don't get dehydrated. If he starts pooping, it's the same method only a little messier. Glad I could help.

You can spray with furniture with straight white vinegar, it will not stain any fabric. Why are the dogs not outside? They need to be toileted after every meal and you need to stay with the dog until it has finished, and immediately after he wakes. The dogs should be outside the majority of the time, especially during the day. Luck to you.

We had a problem like this too. We ended up getting this stuff called "Help! Stay off Training Aid" by the brand of Hartz. It works like a charm. Try it. It also works for getting cats to stop scratching the furniture. We got it at Walmart. GOOD LUCK!!

Cat urine has a tendency to have a greater advantageous scent, and confident it particularly is sufficient to soak the fixtures and carpet. Cats tend to mark fixtures lots greater desirable than dogs do, so i could assume it particularly is the cats till shown otherwise. Cat urine additionally glows greater decrease than blacklight so which you will get a affordable blacklight at a puppy save and examine that way too.

If you have cloth furnature then rub a towel all over him and than rub it on the furnature. It will then have his scent on it already and he will not feel like he needs to mark his territory anymore. If you have leather furnature I don't know what you can do. Sorry but hope this helps.

sounds like you don't need spray, you need a crate. I have had dogs for 30 yrs and unless you can be with him and watch him(like a kid) 24/7 your not going to catch him in the act,and you can't discipline him unless you do. crates are not mean unless it's too small and he is left in it to long.
