I'd go with just brushing her daily. That is really all they need unless they have gotten really dirty somehow.

If you do use a shampoo, get something that is friendly to your cats strong sense of smell. I use plain castile soap. It is a liquid, and is very pet friendly. You can dilute to one part castile to ten parts water. You can find it at health food stores and Trader Joe's Grocer's. Make sure to brush her before and after her bath. Gently dry her hair by gently squeezing her hair with a towel. Do not rub, as this can cause her hair to mat.
By brushing her hair before a bath, this will prevent mats as well. Brushing after will remove any that were created when her hair became wet.

I think all you can do is brush her to remove the hair as it sheds. Shampooing will not make her shed less and might make the cat freak out and scratch you. Cats do a good job of grooming theirselves.

Well make sure you only use cat shampoo not dogs because there is an ingredient in dogs shampoo that will kill a cat. I recommend Hartz, because it made my cats hair real silky and shiny and pretty!! And it did help her not shed as much!

Ok cats shed, thats a thing they do like pee and crap. You can't prevent them from shedding, you can brush your your cats hair, but thats it. Shampoo, you can use herbal essence if you want to just don't get it in their eyes. I use flea and tick shampoo first to get rid of the little things and then use human shampoo and conditoner

I use any shampoo for cat that is tearless so it doesnt hurt their eyes. we never get to use it anyway, she starts crying if we do. so all I do is wipe her with damp cloth or pet wipes.
be careful when choosing shampoo, some of them can hurt cat's sight or skin.

I use the johnson and johnson lavendar baby bath. Tearless, and it just smells so good. And they smell good for a long time. Makes their hair really soft too.
