I think that some pills (if you take out the suggar) can also be considered as mineral, I remember some pills that contains lithium.
Moreover, the plastic of some of those medical capsules, I think it was not alive, it should be syntetic.

Most of the time yes, but if you look at any label your also eating all kinds of various preservatives and other "mystery" ingredients that "preserve" flavor - source- ketchup bottle
