What is habitat of a tree?

It is the place where the species was developed. That determines that each specie requires determined conditions to grow at optimal rates. I.e. eucaliptus requires a lot of water, so you will not find it in a dessert.
If you plant a tree outside its habitat it may not grow as much as in its habitat. It may inclusive die.
