Well my friend Tasha has the same thing .It is alright. All you have to do is get some cream or ointment or any medication from a doctor to help it. GOOD LUCK.

I'd say theres a pretty good chance you're allergic to nickel. A good way to tell is to go to target or claires and buy a cheaper pair of gold or white gold backed studs, make sure they are PURE gold not plated because the nickel or other metals underneath can leach through the gold and cause the same reaction (you can get small ones for like 15 bucks) If your ears don't react then you're definitely allergic to nickel or other cheaper metals. If they pierce your belly button and you go to a real professional piercer, they should give you titanium or pure gold jewelery standard just because they are better for healing piercings. If they give you anything thats gold plated or nickel or even low quality sterling silver thats a sign that you should be going to a different piercer because even people who aren't allergic really shouldn't have nickel or gold plated rings or studs in new piercings. If your ears react the same to higher quality metals it could be because you are not cleaning it enough or you jsut have extremely sensitive ears and earrings might not be the best for you. Try cleaning your ears with saline solution like H2Ocean found at hot topic or sea salt water (1/4 tsp per 8oz of water) and avoid harsh cleaners like rubbing alcohol or hydrogen peroxide which can dry out and irritate your ears even more

I'm allergic to it as well.
It might be possible to have the item silver or rhodium plated if it's really special, but otherwise there's not a lot you can do besides making sure you don't wear nickel.

With earrings you can use a clear nail polish.
With necklace's, you need to buy a clear glaze spray, you can find at hardware stores. You just place the jewelery on newspaper and spray evenly. Let dry and there you have it. You can wear it without a problem.
I am allergic to copper.

I can't wear nickle either. Small patches of metal (like the back of watches) can be painted with clear nailpolish, but you have to do it pretty much every time you wear the item since it rubs off. The best thing to do is just wear precious metals that aren't as reactive.

Clear fingernail polish to coat the metal and protect you until it wears off.

Or just don't wear it.
