Look at all the 737s on www.airliners.net and see how old the cuurent ones are.

Its about 20 years.

737s are flown so hard that you don't see many older unless they are private or in limited use.

For example, I worked on Alaska Airlines 737NG made in 2000/2001 and they had about 18,000 hours and 15,000 cycles in five years of flying.

Their 737-200C were made in the mid eighties with 70,000 hours on them and they were wrecks ready for the scrapyard.

On Classics, lap joint repairs have to be made after 50,000 cycles, increasing the cost of operation.

I believe FRA limits commercial aircraft under US registry to 20 years. Or is it fleet average age?

That dosen't limit them to any age in second hand markets.

more than 20 years.......check out Boeings web site...they last a long time babe.
