Well there are plenty of things you can do;
1. Take a hot bath with little bit of oil like lavender,darken room and add candles for more relaxation.
2. Do some stretching Lot's of time muscle spasms happen because your blood flow is not able to trans mite the right message to your Brian so you get tension.Yoga always helps me.Downward dog is a good move.
3. Also, against a wall or corner place shoulder blade against edge and help put pressure by leaning back, wait a min and then shake it out. Rea peat at least twice and also make sure you drink Lot's of water to release any toxicion's that might be trap ed in your body.
Please advise a chro as soon as possable.if back ach cont.

First, remove the stressor (poor posture, weight carrying or lifting) and learn good body mechanics (proper way for moving things).
Then, strengthen your abdominal muscles. This will strengthen your back. If your back is strong, then the tension will lesson and the soreness should not be an issue.
Use temporary aids like heating pads, warm showers that you stretch very slowly. When you hit a "nerve" hold that position until the pain subsides, then inch over a bit until you get another sore area and hold. Do this over and over. It will help your muscles to soften and relax back into place.
good luck!

First buy some back plasters at the drug store, soak in a hot bath to relax the muscles, have someone apply the plasters, go to bed.
See a chiropractor to get to what the problem is so you can fix it and perhaps avoid that happening again.
