Unfortunately, it is probably fried.
The problem is not only the water, but the salt will corrode the electronics far faster.
But if you want to try:
First, do not turn it on! Take out the battery and the card. Wipe down everything you can reach. (Some people say soak it in fresh water first to remove more of the salt.)
Put it in a barely warm oven for a few hours with all the doors open. (On the camera, not the oven!) Then dry it in the sun for several days or even weeks. Reinsert the battery and card and give it a try. If nothing works, let it dry some more.
Finally, buy a new camera.

To dry out your camera. You must do the following.
Immediately take out your camera battery and wipe it down and leave it to dry for a few days out of the heat. To dry your camera, take low heat to it from a hair dryer and then leave it on a windowsill where it will get some light from the sun. Preferably, the sunlight should not be too hot because you could fry your camera. On Yahoo! Tech, tech ad visor Chris wrote an article on how to dry your wet electronics. Hope I could help!

Hope it wan't on when you dropped it. If so, it's fried. And sea/salt water makes it worse, even if it was turned off.
