I have brown, really thick shoulder length hair with layers and side bangs... but I am really bored with it. Any ideas ladies on how to jazz it up?

highlights!
and crimping it will help too:)
try the wet look;it might work for you
dye job(red, nice different blondes, black!, or maybe an auburn)
a glaze could make your hair look A LOT different(shinier w/more color)
braiding it in messy braids

My hair is thick and to the mid point of my back. I have layers. I sometimes flip it all over away from my face, but keep the bang wisp to one side if you like or you can flip it too. Another style I do is spirals all over with the swirl bang or a twist set, that makes the hair looks curly. If you do color it will have a big change on the way your hair looks. Trust me I know.

hmm...try a big (but not too big) patterned headband. (the stiff kind) then put your hair in a loose messy bun near the bottom of your head. Im not sure if you have a RUE 21 near you, but i recently got a headband like that there for my friend, she has hair like you described. it looks great on her...good luck im sure whatever you choose will be great

You have long hair so, you can look in magazines, find a cut you like and ask the hair stylist if she can do that cut.

I've had short curly blonde hair my whole life. So, today I got bright red streaks in my hair! I dunno if you want to do anything this dramatic, but it will certainly jazz up your hair! I love my new hair!
