If it's the bulb burned out when you turn the left turn signal on it will click "double-fast". If it's a fuse it will blink/click at normal speed. I have heard of the relay switches going out, but I'd doubt that it's that on a vehicle that new.
Steps:
1. Check flashing speed. If it's fast, replace the bulb.
2. If it's slow, check the fuse.
3. If neither of those work put it up on Ebay and I'll buy it from you and have it working in 10 minutes.

i know what you are talking i do that to when im changing lanes i would say go to auto zone or a jeep place and see if they can order it. i havent changed a turn signal switch but i have done a windshield wiper switch on a 03 grandcherokee and it was pretty easy i would imagine that they are almost the same. if you have a 99-04 and you have some knowledge of cars then you should have no problem doing it yourself

You probably just have a fuse loose or out. Any Mechanic should be able to do a quick check of your fuses. Otherwise, it could be a short. If you have no blinking inside to indicate your turning it probably is a short. You might also make sure your bulbs aren't burn't out.

the bulb is either blown and needs changed or the fuse in your fuse box blew.Change the bulb 1st that is most likely the culprit.
