What if...?

Question

there was no way to tell the difference between being alive and being dead? Lets say that the afterlife is much like this one, only you don't have a body to walk around in, you have a spirit instead.
In essence, more of the same thing as right now. Alive and dead are just words without any meaning. Do you think that if you knew this to be true you would change the way you spend your days?

I read the bible twice when I was in a catholic school for 9 years - organized religion was a good start for me but turned out to be a stepping stone on my spiritual journey - i have much love and respect for those who are still involved in religion - it was just ahypothetical question

You obviously do not know scripture, I suggest you read this yourself. There is no afterlife as you describe it. There is only heaven or hell after death. And, believe me, one will know where they are. Either in heaven with peace, joy, love and life with Jesus forever, OR in hellfire.. It wont be something you have to ask yourself. Be sure what you choose for yourself now. And, if people did know and believe this, they would surely live their life very differntly, but most tend to reject it, becaue they dont want to give up how they live and think.
No, it wont ever be more of the same thing as it is now. absolutely not. This is not heaven,and its not hell . But, both are coming. Be sure you make a choice to go where you go that wont leave you eternally regretting your decison.

wow... that was deep. but i've never thought of it that way before. if this were to be true, i dont think it would change much except for being surprised at first that this is actually the case.
