You should find out why he thinks that. Either he's insecure or your undies are showing.
Our partners are the people who should ALWAYS have our backs and sometimes tell us what we don't like to hear.
But if your partner is just always putting you down, making you feel bad about yourself, then they're not doing everything they can to help keep you afloat. They're just weighing you down and you'll eventually drown in low self-esteem and potentially an abusive situation.
You should discuss your concerns with him. Tell him how you feel. Maybe you're taking it wrong or maybe he really is being a little abusive.
Try to work it out, though. If he admits that he's a jerk and wants to STOP being a jerk enough to get counseling, you should pursue that.
I know there's a lot more to the guy than him wishing you looked less hot. :)
Good luck.

Absolutly not! I wouldn't put up with anyone that criticised me, not my man, child, boss or any other human being. No one has that right. We have the right to respect from those that are supposed to love and care for us. that we can get from strangers sometimes more than from the ones that we love and have around us. I hope you sit him down and tell him how bad he hurts your feelings and that his wedding vows said he would honor you. that isn't honoring you , it's putting you down and causing you to feel less than who and what you are. god put you on the earth for a reason and it wasn't to be his sounding board for bad behavior. He isn't saying things like this in front of anyone is he, not any children I pray. If so, I'd send him packing because the next thing will be them talking to you like that. My neice had a man like that and her little daughter started doing the same thing he did. Called her fat and talked back to her and bossed her around. He cheated on her and he's gone now but, it took a while for her to see how it had affected her, her child and how she felt about herself. She had let if happen so gradually that she didn't see it for a while. I told her she was blessed to get him out of there, though sh hurt, she knows it now and sees how it was a blessing to have him gone. you need to change it tonight. Not one more day should you allow this. He has to respect you or say nothing or leave. Please don't waste your time on him if he won't change. ok? You are worth more than that. Love at you. Good luck too.

No way. he has no right to tell you that. Pay attention however to the way he says it to you. could he be trying to help and do you think you may need to dress in another manner? Look at the two sides. If not, if he's really criticising you for nothing at all, I would have some stern words for him or drop him. He obviously doesn't appreciate you. You may be better without him. Either he is genuinely looking out for you and wants to help or he is exerting power over you, which he has no right to do. Good luck.

And I take it you still talk to this guy?
He's insecure. You probaby (and i stress probably) dressed up in a nice way and he was afraid that other guys would steal you away from him.
A real man would tell you that you look pretty. Why are you wasting time with a guy who's really a child?
Have some self-respect. If a guy told you that you looked like a hooker, you should never even think of him again.
What's up with people putting up with having their very existence insulted?

My guess is lack of respect for women is not his only issue. I would not give him a second thought. And when he said that I would have told him, "Oh, I thought that is what attracted you, my prostitution look". Why are you still there, usually abusive relatiohships begin with verbal abuse, then it escalates into physical abuse. Dont wait for him to loose control and get so comfortable down grading you that he begins to hit you. Leave him and move on to someone who will appreciate you. Noone deserves to be talked to in that manner. Good luck and God bless

Well, whether you look like a prostitute or not, it's not really for him to comment is it? Tell him to **** off! I would never put up with that ****! Tell him to take a flying **** at the moon, girl! There are soooo many more decent, caring and nice fish in the sea. Go fishing! Good luck!

Hav i bin mislead all my life? i was under the impression that the only time a guy should comment on the appearance of their beloved was when they were asked. Even then the answer should only be "yeah u look gorgous" even if the women in question looked like she had just bin hit by a garbage truck. You should really tell this guy about these rules, they may save his life one day

Maybe you genuinely do look like a prostitute in which case he's being a good husband. Or... maybe he likes that n that's why he married you. Or... maybe he just wants you to respect him by dressing a little more conservatively. But most likely, he's just a jerk and you need 2 ditch him!!!!! (Btw, I'm not a lady, but hey)

Bin him. People that are critical of others are usually screwed up with their own insecurities and doubts about themselves. You don't ever call your partner things like that, and if he was of sane mind he would probably not even be thinking it. Also if he has the capacity to talk you down so badly he may have the capacity to do nastier stuff. Alarm bells would be ringing for me. Look after yourself honeyxx

did you ask him to shut the F*** up? next time he criticizes, ask how he knows what a prostitute looks like. Tell him, if you expect to have the fortune of having me as your girlfriend, you better clean up your act in 5..4...3..2..1..NOW! unless you wear reeeaaally skimpy clothes, then cover yourself
over and out,
