wash you hair and then rinse with vinegar to remove any residue from your hair. have a friend to help you retwist the new growth with the palm twist using beeswax. I uses clips to hold the hair and a spray bottle to spray the hair so that it don't get dry, then once all hair has been retwisted sit under a dryer.

You can go to the Africans and they will tighten them up near the roots :by twisting the new growth and applying gel , then they will pin the hair down to the scalp and set you under the dryer. And when you are finish drying they take out the pins and it will look like you just got them for the first time. Or you can go to the salon. Just check around and ask do they do that service.

You need to find a salon that specializes in natural hair styles. You should either touch up your dreads yourself, or have them done about every 6 weeks. A good stylist should be able to teach how to take care of them properly and what products to use at home. Look on the internet and find a black hairdresser in your area who can maintain dreadlocks.
