This isn't your fault. It's his parent's fault. They are being extremely racist if they're not letting you go over to their house, because you're black.
Do NOT let his parent's opinion of you affect your relationship with your boyfriend. If he loves you, he won't care about his parent's opinion.
I suggest to be patient. Good things come to those who wait.

Racial-as many may have already guessed-is some of the toughest thing ina relationship because of the parents. You can really do anything about it. The best thing you can do-if you don't want your relationship to end-is to just watch what you say about and to the parents. Be nice to them and prove that race has absolutely nothing to do with a relationship.
I wish I can gaurantee that it will work but I can't. I hope this helps anyway, though...

If his family is racist there's not to much you can do. I have been with a black man for two years now and I still have one person in my family that just doesn't want anything to do with him...sad for them I think. Its there loss...if his parents are like this I would be very skeptical about going further in the relationship. One day your man is going to have to choose between you and them...and that's not good either way.

Hun he needs too stand up for you, put his foot down and be a man and let them know that he is going too be with you because he loves you and that they are going too have too accept his decision. In a situation like this it is never easy too handle or accept, but we must do all that we can do too try too survive thru it, elsewise it will totally break us down and that is never a good thing too happen. But this truly is more of his place and responsibility too stand up and do what he feels he needs too do. But sometimes us guys can be dumb and thats why you need too sit him down just like you would a child and let him know how you feel, how you feel he should treat this matter, and let him know how much it upsets you inside. I wish you the absolute best of luck.. Bob ninjawarrior1973@yahoo.com

That is awful. You are worth more than that. Screw them. They don't deserve to know you. As far as staying with the boyfriend that is hard because it isn't his fault that they are ignorant. It will make it really hard on your relation ship though. I don't know your age but I am assuming that you are in high school. Don't let them destroy the best years of your life you are better off breaking up with him then dealing with the drama during these great years.

It is nearly impossible to change the way people like that feel. The best you can do is to hold your head up high and put your best foot forward if and when you do have contact with them. Don't give them any legit reason to dislike you other than their own ignorance.

Okay I have a bi racial child and have been through all of it. You need to forget them because they are not going to change. Don't let them get to u and don't think about anything but u and your bf. Racism does not change just because their son has a black lady. They're ignorant and it is not your job to teach them about humanity. So I wish u all the luck in your relationship.I just notice something, why is your avatar white?????

Have you done something to offend them? Gotten into any recent trouble they know about? Maybe he discussed some things with them that he shouldn't and now they have a bad picture of you. i.e him gossiping to his parents about some bad things you may have done. He may have not realized that this could lead his parents to distrust you.
Or.....maybe they just don't want their son dating you. My mom didn't like all my girlfriends black/white/latin whatever.

What does your boyfriend say about this? Maybe they just think you are both to young to date and it has nothing to do with your color. If it is color, people have some pretty stupid ideas and maybe you can talk to them about it. Don't stay in a relationship where this is going to be a lifetime dispute.
