I went through something similar many years ago. Here's what I did and it worked like a charm.
Some time when you know that your parents won't be distracted and no one else is around (go out with them somewhere if you have to in order to have their full attention and ensure privacy) tell them that you want to discuss something with them that's truly very important to you.
Be sure of what you're going to say and don't let them anger you in anyway whatsoever. Let them know that you need to talk about something and that you truly hope that they'll take what you have seriously. Ask them to please hear everything you have to say before they offer comment. But...be open to their comments! Remember, it's almost definite that they don't like your b/f because for whatever reason, they don't think he's 'good' for you. Be sure to be as open to their comments as you want them to be to yours.
Explain to them that you know and understand that they don't seem to like 'Tom' very much. However, you've been seeing Tom for a while now and you've really gotten a chance to get to know him better. He respects you, treats you like a lady and he's honest (if all that's true, of course). Explain further that you're no longer a little child and you can't choose who your heart is attracted to.
Tell them that it would mean so very much to you to have their blessing to date Tom and that the last the thing you would want to do is disappoint them or go behind their backs for anything.
Be mature about it and speak without getting too emotionally involved if you can.
Honestly, this happened to me years ago and I remember it like yesterday. My parents whole heartedly bought into everything I was saying I think as much because of my approach as the mature thinking I displayed.
Today...I'm a parent and I have to tell you that I remember those days vividly. I honestly try to remember all this stuff as I deal with my kids these days and it's helped alot. Of course, they don't think I'm cool but that's just because the tables have been reversed. Now I'm the parent dealing with the issues that I made my parents deal with.
So, if you do anything...anything at all.....remember this stuff forever because so many people forget what it's like to be a kid when they become a parent.
I wish all the very best.
Good luck!!!! :)

A good man would never allow his girl to lie about him. You're not doing him any favors by hiding him.

Eventually you will get caught, so you're better off telling them, or else it might be worse!
