Yes it's possible..... because Allah is the Arabic word for God. It is also one of Allah's 99 names, and Allah is the very same God that christians and jews worship (there's only one) Muslims believe in Jesus as a prophet the same as Abraham, Moses, Muhammad, and all the others. His family is having a problem because Muslims worship God and God alone, with no son or partner. Muslims believe that worshipping Jesus as the son of God is polytheism, the biggest sin of all. ( the first commandment given to Moses says the same thing).

Actually, he's right. God, Yahweh, and Allah are different names for the same entity. Christianity, Judaism, and Islam all worship the same Creator under different names (just like people can point to the same flower and call it a rose in different languages, and it still smells sweet). And they share many values - loving God, being peaceful and fair to other people, valuing family, etc.
One of the big points where they differ is the definition of the main "prophets." Islam, for example, respects Jesus as a prophet or holy man, but does not agree that he is the son of God.
It sounds like your friend is a Christian, but is also trying to respect his family by respecting Islam. It's a little unfair to expect him to trumpet forth a belief that his unsympathetic relatives will actually try to kill him for (being a martyr is really not all it's cracked up to be). Let this be a warning about religious intolerance.

God's name varies with the culture. e.g. in Japan, Jesus is "Isus." In Jesus' own time he was known in his native language as "Yeshua" (a form of Joshua) meaning Saviour.
If he needs to call God Allah, make sure you understand whether he means the Muslim "Allah," or the Christian God.
If your friend is trying to hold to Christ Jesus as his Saviour, and keep one foot in Islam, then he is not yet fully converted.
Luke 9:26
"For whoever is ashamed of Me and My words, the Son of Man will be ashamed of him when He comes in His glory, and the glory of the Father and of the holy angels.
Muslims have a great deal about Mary and Jesus in the Koran. Most of it does not jibe with the Bible, though.
I think your friend must decide which world he really ants to live in, Christianity or Islam. They are not equal, and they are not the same. His family may disown him, and some of the more radical Muslims may try to kill him. What's new? Christians have been martyred since Stephen was stoned to death in Jerusalem. There were more martyrs for Christ in the last half of the 20th century than in all recorded history before then.

Who ever taught him about Jesus did a very incomplete job of it. He should be given an in depth Bible study on a variety of things, such as: Who is God? and what does He want/expect from us? Who is Jesus? and what is His relationship to both God and us? Who is the Holy Spirit/Ghost? and what is His relationship to God, Jesus and us? What importance of the sanctuary? and what is the relationship of it to Jesus? Questions like these, and their answers, must be taught to new converts or else they end up like most of Christendom, some Bible, but a lot of pagan. We Christians are supposed be into soul winning, and that means education, of not only others but ourselves as well. If we are not educating ourselves then how are we to edify the body of Christ? And do not say 'the Holy Spirit will do it". Not with out us He will not. He will and can lead people into the light of the truth, but not with out some impetus from someone. Someone must put the idea into their heads, and that is where we come in. This is part of the 'work' we must do.

This situation is just like what Jesus said about trying to serve two masters: God or Money
Jesus said that you cannot serve God and serve money at the same time. You are either for God, and if you are not for God, then you are against God. You cannot indulge in the pleasures of his world and try to please God at the same time.
God and Allah are two different. Allah is the Moon god of Arabia. The Christian/Jewish God is the true living God. The God of Abraham, Issac, and Jacob as the Bible mostly states Him
God simply puts it. "THAT SHALT HAVE NO OTHER gods BEFORE ME."
Jesus also says that in order to follow Him, you must deny your family, the world, and even YOURSELF. to take up your cross and follow Him, which that means YOU WILL BE PERSECUTAED FOR FOLLOWING HIM. The world will hate you, because they hate Jesus first.
Satan believes in God, but that doesn't make him right with God. Simplyi believing in God will not get you into Heaven. It is when you give up everything you have, the people you love, and place God number one in your life. You may lose your life, but in the next life you will gain eternal life.
Jesus said this as well. People will come to Him on Judgement Day and say, "Father didn't we cast demons out in your name, didn't we do all this for you." Jesus will respond "Away from me you evil doers, for I never knew you."

Your friend has opened his heart to Jesus that is the key. It may take him time to adjust to the truth in the bible and truly accept it as all of the truth. I would just stand by him and let him take this conversion in at his own pace.
We as Christians know the true teachings behind the bible on false prophets and worshipping two Gods and such but this is a newcomer and he is new to the truth I think you should encourage the scripture instead of debating on his old beliefs with him at this time.

He simply believes in both. All people who are Islamic believe in Jesus and Mohammad alike. Although, Mohammad is their true prophet. Jesus infact was a part of their religion, not a catholic (Catholicism branched off into it's own religion after Jesus' time). So, he believes in both because that is what his foundation is. But I think what is important is that you recognize the fact that their are other prophets in the world that people follow. If he says he believes in Jesus and follows his teachings, that should be enough.

i believe that christians in the middle east, like iraq, syria, or other arabic speaking nations actually use the word Allah, because allah is arabic for God.
anyways, and there is a growing number out there who believe that mohammad was a prophet, but who believe that jesus was something more then a prophet, and that jesus was the most important!
let him has his beliefs.. as long as it doesn't hurt ours. and show him the christian beiefs.. give him a Bible! he can be a christian, even if it's in private.

I have not obvious such a lot bullshit in a single position in combination when you consider that Heracles wiped clean the stables of King Augias. "our loved ones and peers have a tendency to show their backs on us once we so much want them " No, they do not. I have no idea approximately your loved ones (I count on 'peers' isn't an quandary for you), however in mine, we don't go away every different down. The love of Jesus... the affection of Jesus and $zero,50 gets you a chocolate bar.

If your friend would study the bible, he would come to know that the God of the bible is not Allah and Mohammed is a false prophet. Mohammed denies that Jesus is the son of God who died on a cross and rose again.....therefore the Jesus that is taught in Islam is a false Jesus. Your friend does not sound born again. One cannot have one foot in Islam and one in Christianity; they are mutually exclusive.
