I am interested in buying a Kodak easyshare one, but I can't seem to find any customer reviews. I am wondering if the Li-Ion Rechargeable Battery is a good option or annoying. And just want to be sure that regular batteries can not be used. Sort of just looking to hear the pros and cons of this camera.
Thanks!

Here's an in-depth review for the EasyShare 1 (a decent camera but you pay extra for the gadget-factor): http://www.steves-digicams.com/2005_reviews/esone_pg5.html
I agree with Geek that the included software is a pain. I find it's a lot easyer to transfer the pictures to the computer with a card reader and use ACDSee or some other program to view them.
(We have a different model, but we're very happy with our Kodak.)

I despise the software it comes with. They tried to make it user friendly and instead made it goofy. If you have widows XP I recommend not installing the Kodak software. I bought my Mom (she is not so techno savvy) and she likes it. She also purchased the Dock (which I think was unnecessary) and likes it too! She has the Kodak z700 (or something like that).
The cameras them-self are very user friendly. the Li-Ion Rech. Batt. are not much of a issue with the new cameras (with in the last 6 mo). the picture quality is fairly good, the pictures tend to be on the contrasty side a bit...but is ok unless your a color fanatic. Good Luck, -K-

I'll never buy another Kodak camera.

I bought 2 for Christmas gifts. The software for the PC was awful, and I had to download the new stuff to get it to work at all.

Worse yet, Kodak's business plan is to get you to buy prints from them. So, everything, from the software to the interface to the constant emails, in aimed to getting you to buy prints from Kodak. Contrast this to vendors like HP (wanna buy a HP printer?) or Canon, etc.
