Hard to tell what you have because you didn't explain what the sores look like. If sores are kind of white patches, that could be thrush. Thrush is a fungal infection. People with compromised immune systems are especially prone to thrush after they have taken a course of antiobiotics. Use non-alchololic mouthwash like Biotene or Prevention. Eat yogurt with active cultures and hold it in your mouth for while. Keep you teeth clean and flossed. If it is thrush and continues, see your dentist or doctor. They can prescribe Nystatin which you rinse and spit. In worse case, they will prescribe Diflucan tablets. Babies sometimes get it when they come out of the birth canal. It is much like a vaginal yeast infection. Diflucan cures both.
