I really like this girl who is a good friend of mine. We are in 10th grade, and she likes a guy who graduated last year. I'm very friendly towards her, I compliment her all the time, and we hang out a lot in school, but not really outside of school since we live far apart and neither of us drive. It seems like maybe I shouldn't have let her know I like her and that girls like chasing guys who they can't have and who treat them badly and don't pay attention to them. What should I do?

Don't treat women badly, that is immature and selfish. Yes some women are desperate for attention and will put up with some pretty crappy behavior in order to feel loved. But don't use that as a rationalization to start behaving that way. You get more flies with honey.. Also don't fall allover yourself trying to be nice. There is a difference between nice and desperate/needy. Be nice, but don't forget to be a man (Mature, Articulate, Normal) at the same time.

I think most people want what they can't have. I don't know what the appeal is really. I know I've been guilty of staying with a guy that could have treated me better and blew off some really nice guys. I think maturity plays a big role. Now I'm with a very nice guy, and i think what the hell was i seeing in the other guy(not so nice guy). When your older youll be a prize. Younge girls don't appreciate nice guys.

A girl doesn't like to be treated badly no more then what a guy would.Unless they are hard up and just want to say she goes with so and so (if he seems to be popular, or good looking)

No, girls don't like guys who treat them badly...it just seems that at times we are attracted to guys who do that, but we don't know it until after we are involved with them...
Just be yourself...girls will like you for who you are...the good guys have as much luck as the 'bad boys'...the bad boys just don't complain about the ones they miss out on as much as the good guys do...lol!

the boy should chase the girl and any girl who likes being treated bad has definite problems. but if you were to forward or told her like in a stalking sort of way, she may be a little frighten. she also may just not like you but that's not your fault. i know this sounds cliche but there are plenty of fish in the sea, just wait til the right one swims your way. until then 'just keep swimmin'
