The next time the neighbor girl flirts with me by asking which song I'm listening to on my iPod, I want to be prepared for grossing her out.

As jelly is safe to eat, I'm sure it's safe to stuff in my ears...

..."substitute;" I apologize for the spelling error!

I would go with peach or something like that. Make sure it's all crusty and disgusting, and even stick a dead fly in it or something for extra effects. And yea, I'm totally sure jelly is safe for the ears, just put it in a little early so it gets a hair bit crusty and looks realistic.

You could even stuff in a little extra to help fill in that vacuum in between your ears.

You know, you could always show her the jelly crusted head phones and say, "Hold on a sec, let me clean this ear crud off of these." and then lick em off. That would sure gross her out.

PS. how many years has she been after you?????? I guess it's hard for her to give you up!

OK....so i think that jelly would be a suitable substitute to use. But then you need to think about when you are going to put the jelly on because you can't put it on the ear phones right in front of her and you won't want to have it on when you're listening because you will unfortunately have jelly in your ears. I think jelly is fantastic but you'll need to figure out a way to put it on the ear pieces before she sees, but I'm sure you can come up with a way to do that.

OR instead of making things messy i think a practical way to make sure her ear is NOT on YOUR ear piece is to carry and extra set of ear phones and just switch them out before she puts it in her ear. OR instead of her listening to the song at all you could just show her the screen of your ipod and she can just read the song you are listening to. OR you can pretend not to hear her. Just have your music up really loud and when she's trying to ask what song or whatever just mouth "I Can't Hear You" and just kinda walk away.

Well if those ideas don't help i say go for the jelly because then that will be your best bet. Well good luck! : ) :) :)

I'm sorry i didn't even really answer your question about which jelly i just kept rambiling on about other stuff. LOL well i think that most of the other people had a pretty good idea about what jellies, like an orange flavor or apricote. Just a jelly that is a similar color to earwax. : )

use any kind of lip gloss that comes in a little tin or compact...it will be waxy like ear wax and I don't think it would be unsafe to put just on the edges of the inside of your ears.

If I were you I wouldn't put jelly in my ear but Bee's wax would work much better and wouldn't harm your ear. You could find it at your local Walgreens or other drug store.

In the UK, there is a big market on earplugs, so why not go to your drugstore/chemist and buy a box of waxed earplugs.

Ha-ha! I definietly agree with the peanut butter. It would look more realistic, and is cheaper than bee's wax. Also would be easier to remove from your ear!
