My cousin is living with me because she is going to college here and she is taking over my life. I am in the 8th grade and she has taken my family away from me. She impresses them and I feel left out because it is like I am invisible now. If I am talking to my mom or dad she will start talking to them and my parents forget I am there. When I try watching television she takes the remote and watches what she wants to watch and I don't get to watch television. I usually don't get to get on the computer either but right now she went with my mom to get some stuff. She gets to shop at American Eagle, Aeropostale, Abercrombie, and Hollister and my mom pays for it! If I ask my mom to buy something for $15 she says no, but she will spend almost $100 on my cousin a week! They also pay for her fees for college wich is like $500 dollars a month! My mom won't even pay my $50 fee for school because of the textbooks! She is controling my life, taken my parents and my brother. WHAT DO I DO?!?!?!?!?!

Maybe you should tell your cousin to back off a bit. But in the nicest way possible! If that doesn't work, sit you, your cousin and your parents down and have a talk with them. Talk about your boundaries and if they can just pay a little bit more attention to you. Tell them exactly what you just said right here. It's the only way that will work.

i seemes like youre tired of it!!! i dont blame you .same thing happened to me too a while ago. only with me it was one of the closest family friends. anyways i think that you should have a talk with you r parents and your cousin. first, if youre talking to your mom or dad, and your cousin interrupts tell her to wait you were talking to your mom first before she got there. let her know shes not the only one who needs attention. you need it the most cus youre the daughter not her!!!! then talk to your parents. let them know how you feel when yuo get ignored. they should listen to you.tell them that it hurts you when they dont listen to you. and tell them that you should deserve to be heard first cus youre the daughter not her she just came in out of nowhere!!!! and if she takes the remote from you, take it back !!! tell her that you were watching t.v there first and itsnot all about her!!! she could do plenty of other things other than watch tv at the same time. try not to let her take over you. fight her back cus if you dont, shes going to think that she could still be able to do that to you and you wont do nothing about it!!! and thats not good!!! well for now just hope that shell be moving to college a.s.a.p.!!!!! i hope my advice helps!!!!!

Looks like the green-eyed monster (jealousy) has hold of you. Stop worrying about this. Before you know it you will be in college and your parents will be spending all the money on you. Hang in there, sweetie, it will be your turn before you know it :)
