No, it shouldn't make a difference. The bottom should be stamped with 'oven safe' or something like that. But Pyrex makes an entire line of glass baking dishes that are good for the entire normal range of cooking temps.

any glass pan that KNOWS it's a baking pan should be able to take any temperature the oven can throw at it.

no..as long as it is a glass dish that is meant for the oven...you shouldn't have any problems..depending on what you are making, some things just taste better when baked in a glass dish...

No, if it is oven tempered glass and made for baking, it should be fine at a higher temp.

I've never heard this, in fact most of my recipes call for a glass pie plate for pie. Nothing weird has every happened with my Pyrex.

if i ever make a meatloaf, i use the glass pan and the oven is set to about 355 making it.

If your bakeware is tempered for oven cooking, you can do anything but broil in them or cook on the stove top.

I use Pyrex and Corning, and have never had one break due to heat.
